Lt. General Naseem Rana (b. 20 Sep 1942) was a Pakistani military official who also served as DG ISI

Biography

Nasim Rana was born on 20 Sep 1942. He was commissioned in the corps of Signals on 19 April 1964. He is a graduate of Command and Staff College, Quetta and National Defece College, Rawalpindi and has attended International Defence Management course in USA.

He has held variety of staff, command, and instructional appointments including GSO-III at HQ Army Signals, istructor at School of Infantry and Tactics and Command and Staff College Quetta, command of Infantry division signal bittalion, GSO-I, and Colonel Staff of an infantry division. He was later posted as Director Combat Development Directorate from where on promotion he assumed the charge as Director General Weapon and Equipment Directorate. Later after commanding infantry division he was posted to Director General Inter Services Intelligence.
